Most of the search terms you can enter are fairly straight forward. All search fields are case insensitive, i.e., REVERSE PHONES AUSTRALIA would match the same records as Reverse Phones Australia.
The street field is broken up into three parts: number, name and type. Street number is the main number of the property, not the unit or flat number. For example, U 23/199 Greenhill Rd would have a street number of 199 not U 23/199. The street name in this example would be Greenhill and the type ROAD.
There are two modes to search the Reverse Phones Australia database: fuzzy and exact.
A fuzzy search will return all results that begin with the search terms you enter. For example, if you entered 20 in the street number field, the search would return all results with street numbers starting with 20: 20, 20A, 200, 201, 2001, etc.
An exact search, on the other hand, returns only results that exactly match the values you entered. In the above example, the search would only return results with a street number of exactly 20. Using the exact search mode will almost always return fewer results (thus making your search cheaper), but if the data in our database is even slightly different from what you've entered, your search will fail.
When you are satisfied with your search terms, click Go. You will be taken to the following confirmation screen:

This page allows you to pay for your search, view information about the results of your search or refine your search before having the credits deducted from your account. (For more information on refining searches, view our Refining a search user guide.)
If you're satisfied that you want to see all the results, click Proceed to results.

As you can see from the figure above, clicking on the Search info tab brings up a page with various statistics about your search results, including the years of the available data, the distribution between business and residential records and so on. This allows you to determine whether the search results would be useful to you. If you would like only part of the returned results, you can refine your search or just click on the New search tab and search using different terms.
Once you've paid for your results (by clicking Proceed to results), you will be taken to this page:

At the top of this page is the same set of tabs (without the payment tab). Underneath these tabs, are the results.
The icon on the left shows whether the results are business or residential (in the figure above, a shopping cart, so all results are for businesses).
You can save these results to your computer by clicking Download results as CSV. This CSV file can be opened in Google Documents, Microsoft Excel or most other spreadsheet applications.
